Widespread Road Closures Affect Major Highways Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Washington

Multiple road construction and maintenance projects are causing lane closures and traffic detours across several states. In Texas, various lanes on North and South Desert, I-10, Loop 375, US-54, and other roads will experience alternate lane closures and detours due to electrical, concrete, and roadway reconfiguration work. A section of County Road 25 will be closed for road work, with motorists advised to seek alternate routes. In Arizona, the Department of Transportation has scheduled weekend closures on I-10, Loop 101, and Loop 202 for maintenance and freeway widening projects, with recommended detours to ease traffic. Georgia's Department of Transportation is closing left lanes on I-16 to continue constructing a new interchange and multilaned roundabouts, with expected delays. Additionally, Washington State will close the left southbound lane of Interstate 5 near Castle Rock to remove a hazardous tree that poses a risk of falling onto the roadway.
