ACEN Partners with Barito on Wind Projects in Indonesia

Philippine renewable energy firm ACEN Corp. has partnered with Indonesia's PT Barito Renewables Energy to develop wind energy projects with a total capacity of 320 megawatts across Indonesia. This collaboration, executed through their respective subsidiaries, builds on the acquisition of three late-stage wind development assets located in South Sulawesi, Sukabumi, and Lombok, and includes battery energy storage to enhance grid stability. Both companies aim to support Indonesia's transition to a low-carbon economy and foster sustainable energy solutions in the region. ACEN plans to grow its renewable capacity to 20 gigawatts by 2030 and is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. This partnership marks a significant step in ACEN's growth strategy, aligning with its mission to contribute to Indonesia's clean energy goals. The collaboration was announced as shares of ACEN rose by nearly 5% in response to the news.
