A new anime adaptation of the iconic sci-fi manga Ghost in the Shell is set to premiere in 2026, produced by Science Saru in collaboration with Bandai Namco Filmworks, Kodansha, and Production I.G. The project, described as the first installment of a second generation and the 10th adaptation overall, aims to remain faithful to Masamune Shirow's original manga, with production staff receiving the creator's blessing. Key staff include Mokochan, making his directorial debut, and acclaimed novelist Toh EnJoe as scriptwriter and series composer, while Hajime Sorayama designed the new logo, reflecting the series' fusion of humanity and technology.
