He has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in Corowa Local Court on January 30, coinciding with the Tigers' pre-season training. The Richmond Football Club has confirmed the charge but stated it cannot comment further as the matter is now before the courts. This incident comes shortly after Balta signed a significant seven-year contract extension with the club, committing him until the end of 2032. Balta, a key player in the Tigers' lineup, has played 104 games since his debut in 2019.
