Four Arrested in Attack on Elderly Woman

A 15-year-old boy from Egg Harbor Township and three adults have been arrested for the brutal attack and robbery of an 83-year-old woman outside an ACME supermarket in Somers Point, New Jersey. The incident occurred on October 3, where the victim was assaulted from behind, sustaining facial and upper body injuries before her purse was stolen. The teenager faces charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and theft, while the adults—60-year-old Maria DeSantis, 23-year-old Charles Ogelsby Jr., and 22-year-old Emily Labaco—are charged with conspiracy offenses and employing a juvenile in a crime. Police executed search warrants in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township as part of the investigation. The woman was treated at Shore Medical Center and has since been released. All suspects are currently held in custody, with the adults at the Atlantic County Justice Facility and the teen at Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
