Michigan Couple Wins $2M on Anniversary

A 44-year-old Oakland County, Michigan woman and her husband won $2 million from a Diamonds & Gold Michigan Lottery scratch-off ticket on their wedding anniversary, purchasing the ticket at Opdyke Featherstone Mobil in Auburn Hills. Initially skeptical, they confirmed their win both at a store and via a friend's lottery app before claiming the prize at the Michigan Lottery office. The woman opted for a lump sum payment of about $1.3 million and plans to use the funds to buy a house, invest, and save for her children's college education. Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli congratulated them, highlighting the positive impact for their family. Since the Diamonds & Gold game launched in March 2024, over $54 million in prizes has been awarded, with more than $49 million, including another $2 million top prize, still available. Each $20 ticket offers prizes ranging from $20 up to $2 million.
