Orlando Cepeda, a Hall of Fame first baseman and legendary figure in Major League Baseball, passed away at the age of 86. His death was announced by the San Francisco Giants and his family, with a moment of silence held at Oracle Park. Cepeda, known as 'Baby Bull,' was an 11-time All-Star who played 17 seasons primarily with the Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals, winning the NL MVP in 1967 and a World Series title the same year. He started his career in 1958 with the Giants, winning the NL Rookie of the Year, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999. Cepeda's death follows closely on the heels of the passing of another Giants legend, Willie Mays. He is remembered not only for his baseball achievements but also for his generosity and love for the game.
