Panthers Sign Hunter Renfrow After Adam Thielen Trade

The Carolina Panthers have re-signed veteran wide receiver Hunter Renfrow to their 53-man roster after trading away starting slot receiver Adam Thielen. Renfrow, who spent his first five NFL seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, did not play during the 2024 season due to ulcerative colitis but has since recovered and participated in training camp and preseason games with the Panthers. This move comes as the Panthers also placed second-year receiver Jalen Coker on injured reserve with a quad injury, sidelining him for at least the first four weeks of the season. Renfrow’s return brings veteran experience to a Panthers receiving corps that will feature rookie Tetairoa McMillan and second-year player Xavier Legette alongside him.
