Texans Sign WR Quintez Cephus

The Houston Texans have signed wide receiver Quintez Cephus, who was previously suspended for violating the NFL's gambling policy. Cephus, a former fifth-round pick from Wisconsin, spent three seasons with the Detroit Lions, recording 37 catches for 568 yards and four touchdowns before his suspension. After his reinstatement in April, Cephus briefly joined the Buffalo Bills but was released in May. The Texans' wide receiver corps is already deep, and Cephus will compete for a depth role, potentially aiming for a spot on the practice squad. The terms of Cephus' contract with the Texans were not disclosed.
