Lamar Odom, former Los Angeles Lakers champion and NBA star, has been ordered to vacate his Los Angeles mansion after failing to pay $45,000 in rent, resulting from three missed monthly payments of $15,000 each. The sublessor, Executive Recovery Group Inc., filed a lawsuit after Odom did not respond to notices to pay or leave, leading to the court granting possession of the property to the landlord. The lease agreement was terminated in March 2025 through an election of forfeiture. This eviction adds to a series of personal hardships for Odom, who has publicly struggled with addiction and health issues following a near-fatal overdose in 2015 that resulted in multiple strokes and heart attacks. Odom had entered into a verbal month-to-month lease agreement for the mansion in December 2024 but failed to fulfill his rental obligations. The property has a notable history, having previously been leased by the late rapper Mac Miller.
