Phillies to Honor Jimmy Rollins, Ed Wade on August 1

Jimmy Rollins, the former Philadelphia Phillies shortstop and franchise hits leader, will be inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame on August 1, 2025, alongside former general manager Ed Wade. Rollins, who played for the Phillies from 2000 to 2014, is celebrated for his significant contributions to the team's success, including being a three-time All-Star, four-time Gold Glove winner, and the 2007 National League MVP. He is the franchise's all-time hits leader with 2,306 hits and played a critical role in the team's 2008 World Series championship. Wade, who served as general manager from 1998 to 2005, was instrumental in building the roster that achieved this success. Both will be honored during the Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend, which also features a game against the Detroit Tigers. This recognition solidifies Rollins' legacy as one of the greatest players in Phillies history.
