Fort Wayne Child Stabbed by Masked Suspect, Suspect Arrested

An 11-year-old boy was stabbed in the abdomen by a 27-year-old man wearing a "Scream" mask on Fort Wayne's southeast side, near the intersection of South Anthony Boulevard and West Colonial Avenue. The child was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested Trayveon Sewel without incident at his residence on the 4500 block of Atwood Drive, where they also searched for the mask and weapon. The suspect faces felony charges of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon. Authorities are investigating the motive and relationship between the suspect and the victim and are asking anyone with information or video footage to come forward. The Fort Wayne Police Department has stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
