Alex Van Halen Explores AI for Unreleased Tracks

Alex Van Halen has expressed a desire to use artificial intelligence to complete unreleased music from the band Van Halen, which he co-founded with his late brother, Eddie Van Halen. In interviews leading up to the release of his memoir, 'Brothers', Alex revealed that the band has a wealth of unfinished material, primarily instrumental pieces, and has approached OpenAI to analyze Eddie's guitar patterns for generating new solos. He hopes to enlist Robert Plant, the legendary Led Zeppelin frontman, to provide vocals for these tracks, despite not having spoken since 1993. Alex acknowledged the challenges ahead, stating, 'You’re gonna think I’m out of my f***ing mind... but when conditions are right, things will manifest.' Additionally, he discussed the emotional impact of Eddie's passing and the complexities of their relationship, aiming to shed light on Eddie's legacy through his memoir. The memoir, which includes an unreleased track titled 'Unfinished', is set to be published on October 24.
