He praised Sen's endurance and focus, encouraging him to 'fight another day.' Sen lost to Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia with a score of 13-21, 21-16, 21-11, acknowledging he had opportunities but was disrupted by a minor injury during the match. Following the defeat, former badminton player Prakash Padukone criticized the Indian contingent's overall performance, urging players to take personal responsibility instead of seeking more support from federations. As of now, India has three bronze medals in the 2024 Olympics, all in shooting events.
