Beatriz Rapisarda, a 41-year-old teacher at Sunrise Elementary School in Palm Bay, Florida, has been arrested and charged with child abuse and false imprisonment after allegedly dragging a disabled student and locking her in a bathroom. Witnesses reported that Rapisarda pushed the student, restrained her by the wrists, and used a knee to pin the child down, applying significant pressure. The incident, which took place in a classroom for intellectually disabled students, reportedly included dragging the student approximately 30 feet to a restroom used as a form of punishment, where the child was left banging on the door for about ten minutes.
