Woman Arrested After Multi‑City Jeep Attacks

Rachele Ricklefs, 30, was arrested after allegedly using her 2019 Jeep to strike at least 10 pedestrians across four Detroit‑area cities — Royal Oak, Clawson, Hazel Park and Warren — during a multi‑city hit‑and‑run spree on Sept. 26. Her 12‑year‑old son escaped the vehicle during an interception and her 6‑year‑old daughter remained with her; both children were unharmed and Child Protective Services was notified. Officials say the Jeep also rammed police cruisers and that Ricklefs attempted to strike people in a Walmart parking lot before being stopped; she allegedly bit and kicked officers during her arrest. Authorities reported no life‑threatening injuries (most were minor; one victim reportedly suffered broken bones). Ricklefs faces a slate of felony charges, including 10 counts of assault with intent to murder and as many as 18 felonies overall; she was arraigned in Macomb County and investigators say a mental‑health crisis may have been a factor.
