Multiple US Cities Host PorchFest Music Festivals This Summer

Several community music festivals are scheduled across the United States, highlighting local talent and fostering community engagement through unique venues. In Portales, New Mexico, the One Portales festival on October 18 will feature music, beer, wine, peanuts, and a performance by honky-tonk legend Mark Chesnutt, with tickets priced at $40 for adults and $20 for children. Minneapolis will host Palmfest from July 25 to 27, an affordable all-day music festival presented by Palmers and Fulton Brewery, although the venue Palmer's Bar is set to close in September 2025. Metuchen, New Jersey, will bring back PorchFest on September 20, transforming porches and yards into intimate stages for a variety of genres, with free admission and volunteer opportunities available. Saranac Lake, New York, will hold its inaugural PorchFest on August 2, inspired by the original Ithaca event, featuring local and regional bands performing on residential porches and yards, with all shows free to attend and opportunities for community members to participate as hosts, musicians, or volunteers.
