Massachusetts Man Killed, Another Injured in Fiery Head-On Collision on Route 119 New Hampshire

A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 119 in Rindge, New Hampshire, involving a 52-year-old Massachusetts man, Richard Pezzolesi, who died at the scene after his vehicle collided head-on with a Jeep driven by 24-year-old Robert Adams of Ashburnham, Massachusetts. The collision happened as Pezzolesi was turning onto Old Ashburnham Road, causing both vehicles to roll over more than 100 feet and come to rest with the Jeep atop Pezzolesi's car, which caught fire. A passerby helped extinguish the fire before emergency responders arrived. Adams managed to exit his vehicle and was transported with serious injuries to UMass Memorial Medical Center, as medical helicopter transport was unavailable due to weather. The crash also involved a third vehicle that drove through the debris field, rendering it inoperable, and a fourth vehicle that reportedly did the same but did not stop; police are seeking witnesses and information from these drivers. Route 119 was closed for about four hours during the emergency response and investigation, which remains ongoing.
