Marlins Defeat White Sox with Walk-Off Home Run

Jake Burger hit a game-winning three-run homer in the ninth inning, leading the Miami Marlins to a 7-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox. The Marlins, down to their last strike, tied the game with an RBI double by Josh Bell, followed by an intentional walk to Jesús Sánchez before Burger's 431-foot blast. The White Sox had a 4-1 lead going into the seventh inning, but closer Michael Kopech allowed four runs in the ninth, suffering his fifth blown save of the season. The loss dropped the White Sox to an MLB worst record of 26-66. Jonathan Cannon pitched six strong innings for the White Sox, but the bullpen could not hold the lead. This marked Miami's ninth walk-off win of the season.
