Bloomsburg High Band Plans Hawaii Performance at Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade

The Bloomsburg Area High School Marching Band has been selected to represent Pennsylvania at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii this December, commemorating the 84th anniversary of the attack. Nominated by a local veteran, the band is among a select few high school bands from across the country chosen for this honor. To fund the trip, which costs approximately $200,000, the band is organizing fundraising events such as a 5K run and bingo nights. In a related event, members of the Grove City Marching Band performed a concert on the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, honoring military personnel. The USS Missouri, which became a museum ship in 1998, is a significant historical site. These activities reflect a deep commitment to honoring military history and legacy.
