Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has publicly shared her frustration after being denied seating at an Atlanta restaurant due to her yoga pants, which the establishment cited as a violation of its 'strictly enforced' business casual dress code. She noted the hypocrisy of the dress code enforcement, as other patrons were present in less formal attire, including shorts and flip flops. This incident follows a similar experience in 2022, where she was turned away from The Capital Grille for wearing leggings. Bottoms opted not to disclose the name of the recent restaurant due to concerns over harassment towards its staff, which occurred after the previous incident. She expressed her desire to connect with the restaurant's owner to discuss the matter further. Bottoms emphasized her belief that such discriminatory practices could be impacting others as well.
