Carnival Cruise Line celebrated its 20th anniversary of year-round sailing from Jacksonville, marking a partnership with JAXPORT that has welcomed over three million guests since 2004. The event aboard the Carnival Elation included a tribute to military service, featuring Jackson, a service dog adopted through Carnival's support of the K9s for Warriors nonprofit. Carnival's Vice President of Port Operations, David Candib, acknowledged the city's contributions to local tourism and job creation, emphasizing the importance of the partnership. Earlier this year, Carnival signed an agreement extending operations through 2026, with options to renew through 2030. The Carnival Elation continues to operate four- to seven-day cruises to The Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean, with plans for a new destination, Celebration Key, in 2025. The event highlighted Carnival's commitment to the community and its dedication to honoring veterans.
