Bradenton Homicide Probe After Woman Found Near Car
Bradenton police are investigating the death of a middle‑aged Hispanic woman found around 8:30 p.m. Sunday near a car in the 2100 block of 8th Avenue East after an initial report of a traffic crash. Officers say she suffered extensive injuries that were “inconsistent with the crash” and died at the scene, and detectives alongside the Manatee Homicide Investigation Unit are treating the case as a homicide. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or detailed information about her injuries, but say the incident appears to be isolated. Neighbors told reporters they saw the woman in distress, describing her as rolling on the ground; police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Jeff Beckley at jeff.beckley@bradentonpd.com or submit anonymous tips to Manatee Crime Stoppers (manateecrimestoppers.com or 866-634-8477); tipsters may be eligible for up to $3,000.
