REO Speedwagon to Stop Touring in 2025

REO Speedwagon announced they will cease touring as of January 1, 2025, citing 'irreconcilable differences' between bassist Bruce Hall and lead vocalist Kevin Cronin. Hall has been dealing with back issues, and despite surgery, has not recovered sufficiently to perform at the expected level. Matt Bissonette stepped in as the touring bassist, but tensions within the band persisted. Both Hall and Cronin expressed no intention of leaving the band or retiring, but the consensus within the group deemed ending the tours necessary. The band, formed in 1967 and known for hits like 'Keep On Loving You' and 'Can't Fight This Feeling,' will perform their final shows in 2024, with their last stop in Lexington, Kentucky. Fans have been vocal in their support, but the decision to conclude touring remains firm.
