Philly DA Discusses Kada Scott Murder, Keon King Prosecution After Body Found

Kada Scott, a 23-year-old woman from Philadelphia, was reported missing on October 4, 2025, after leaving for her overnight shift but never arriving at work. Her remains were found two weeks later in a shallow grave near the former Ada Lewis Middle School, confirming her death. Keon King, 21, from Dover, Delaware, is the prime suspect in her kidnapping and is currently facing charges including kidnapping, false imprisonment, and stalking; prosecutors may pursue additional charges following the discovery of Scott's body. District Attorney Larry Krasner acknowledged that his office could have prosecuted King more aggressively in a previous kidnapping case from January 2023, which was dismissed after the victim failed to appear in court.
