Head-On Crash Leaves Woman Critically Injured

A serious car collision in Lincoln Park, Chicago, early Sunday morning left a 44-year-old woman in critical condition. The crash occurred around 12:50 a.m. when a northbound white sedan, driven by a 21-year-old woman, collided with a southbound silver sedan carrying several passengers. The critically injured woman was a rear passenger in the silver sedan and was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital with severe facial lacerations. Other passengers in the silver sedan, including a 35-year-old man with minor injuries, were taken to hospitals in good condition. The driver of the white sedan sustained head and leg injuries but was reported stable, while her front-seat passenger suffered a fracture. Chicago police are investigating the incident and issuing citations as appropriate.
