Punjab Police conducted intelligence-based operations leading to the arrest of individuals associated with the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)-backed terror module, averting potential target killings. The arrested suspects were found to be involved in illegal activities under the direction of foreign handlers, with recoveries including weapons like pistols, magazines, and bullets. Additionally, police apprehended associates of other criminal gangs, recovering firearms and ammunition, emphasizing the state's commitment to combating organized crime. Punjab Police recently established the Special Task Force Intelligence and Technical Unit (SITU) to enhance capabilities in tackling drug trafficking and criminal activities in the region.
