Unrivaled, a new women's 3-on-3 basketball league co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, has secured a multi-year broadcasting deal with TNT Sports, including broadcasts on TNT, truTV, and streaming on Max. The league, set to begin on January 17, 2025, in Miami, will feature 30 top women's basketball players across six teams and promises the highest average salary in women's professional sports history. TNT Sports, which has taken an equity stake in Unrivaled, will broadcast over 45 games during the inaugural season, aiming to fill a potential gap as it loses NBA broadcasting rights. The league will operate during the WNBA's offseason, providing players an alternative to overseas play and offering them equity in the league. This partnership aims to capitalize on the growing popularity of women's basketball and provides financial stability to players through 2028. Unrivaled's unique format and high-profile participants are anticipated to significantly boost women's sports visibility.
