Mario Lemina joins Galatasaray from Wolves for €2.5m
Mario Lemina has officially joined Galatasaray from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of €2.5 million on a one-and-a-half-year contract, with an option for an additional year. The 31-year-old midfielder, who expressed a desire to leave Wolves in December, had fallen out of favor under manager Vitor Pereira and had not played since early January. Lemina previously spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Galatasaray, making 28 appearances. His departure comes as Wolves look to strengthen their squad, having recently signed new players, while Lemina's exit follows a tumultuous period where he lost the captaincy after a post-match incident. Galatasaray, currently leading the Turkish Super Lig, aims to bolster their lineup with Lemina's experience. Both clubs expressed gratitude for the player's contributions during his time at Wolves.
