Larry Ellison to Control Paramount Global Post-Merger

Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle and the world's sixth-richest man, is set to control Paramount Global after its merger with Skydance Media led by his son, David Ellison, in 2025. Larry will own 77.5% of National Amusements, the controlling shareholder of Paramount, while RedBird Capital Partners will hold the remaining 22.5%. The $8 billion deal includes significant financial commitments from Larry Ellison, who is providing $6 billion in financing. David Ellison will become the CEO of the newly combined media company.
