Bihar Cabinet Gets Portfolio Allocation

In Bihar, India, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has allocated portfolios to his cabinet. Kumar has maintained the position of state home minister, while BJP's Samrat Chaudhary has been given finance and nine other ministries. BJP leader Prem Kumar has been given cooperatives, extremely backward classes welfare, disaster management and tourism portfolios. JD(U)'s Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has been assigned water resources, transport and building construction, and continues his role at parliamentary affairs. Fellow JD(U) member Bijendra Yadav has been put in charge of the power department, excise and prohibition, planning and development, and minority welfare.
