Indiana Basketball Signs Bosnian Center Andrej Acimovic for 2025-26 Season

Indiana men's basketball has added 6-foot-11 Bosnian center Andrej Acimovic to its roster for the 2025-26 season, marking the 13th scholarship player under first-year head coach Darian DeVries. Acimovic, a 19-year-old with four years of eligibility remaining, comes from Bijeljina, Bosnia, and has impressive stats including averaging 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the U19 ABA League and strong performances in the second Bosnian division. DeVries praised Acimovic for his size, scoring ability, rebounding strength, and defensive instincts, highlighting his potential as a developmental player on the Hoosiers’ frontcourt. Acimovic has also represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on the U16 and U18 national teams and is expected to join Indiana's team for their August foreign tour in Puerto Rico. The Hoosiers' season under DeVries will begin November 5 against Alabama A&M University. This addition complements another international player, guard Aleksa Ristic, who also committed this offseason.
