Innovative EV Charger Combines Heating and Cooling

Irish company EVHACS has developed the world's first integrated electric vehicle (EV) charger and heat pump/air conditioner, offering a solution to the current EV infrastructure challenge in Ireland, which needs to expand from 2,100 to 30,000 chargers by 2030. Meanwhile, reports indicate that declining prices for new and used EVs are making them more accessible to consumers, with the average new EV price dropping to $61,600 and used EVs seeing a 10.5% decrease. In the UK, the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit found that the best-selling used EVs can save owners an average of £1,600 annually compared to petrol vehicles. Additionally, the U.S. is seeking to accelerate EV adoption to reduce its transportation sector emissions, which account for 29% of total greenhouse gases. The Indian government is also focusing on innovation and research to enhance EV technology and manufacturing, aiming for a 30% penetration rate by 2030. These developments highlight the global push towards more sustainable transportation solutions amidst rising demand for EV infrastructure and affordability.
