Teen Arrested After Five-County Police Chase

A 15-year-old from New Market, Tennessee, has been arrested after leading Alabama state troopers on a high-speed chase that spanned five counties on Saturday morning. The pursuit began around 7:20 a.m. in Centre, Alabama, when the teenager, driving a 2023 Nissan Armada, refused to stop for police. The chase involved multiple law enforcement agencies and resulted in the Armada striking two civilian vehicles in Jefferson County before crashing into a fence and building in Tuscaloosa County. After the crash, the teenager attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended without incident. The driver has been charged with felony eluding and is currently held at the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
