Multiple Men Convicted or Charged in Cold Cases

A Charleston County jury convicted Quinton Anthony Taylor of murder and weapon possession for the May 6, 2020, killing of De’Andre Rivers, and Judge S. Bryan Doby sentenced him to life after prosecutors said inmate Darrell Kasey Williams hired him and he tracked Rivers via a GPS device before shooting him multiple times. Investigators recovered texts and call records, matched the tracker app and shell casings to the crime, traced a rented black Dodge Ram, and found $11,300 cash and a ski mask in Taylor’s vehicle; Williams has been charged as an accessory. In Kershaw County, Alexander F. Harmon was convicted of the 2018 murder of his girlfriend, Katelin Crocker, and sentenced to life after fleeing under an alias and being located and arrested in Iowa in January 2025 following FBI tracking and fingerprint confirmation. In Georgia, Juan Renuardo Chunn—already serving life for a 2018 killing—was charged in a 2005 homicide after a palm print from the cold case was resubmitted and matched to him, closing a 20-year investigation.
