Kenyan Abductions Linked to AI-Generated Images

Four young Kenyan men, who were abducted last month amidst a wave of kidnappings targeting government critics, have been freed, according to local media and rights groups. This follows an alarming rise in such disappearances, notably around Christmas, with some victims linked to the sharing of AI-generated images of President William Ruto. The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights has documented 82 abductions since youth-led protests began in June last year.
