Virginia Basketball Opens Closes ACC Schedule Against Virginia Tech

The 2025-2026 Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball ACC schedule features 18 conference games, including home-and-away matchups against Virginia Tech and NC State, while notably excluding Clemson. The season opens with a road game at Virginia Tech on either December 30 or 31 and concludes with a home game against the Hokies on March 7, marking the only ACC pairing to open and close league play against each other. Virginia's home schedule includes key games against Cal, Stanford, North Carolina, Syracuse, Miami, and NC State, while road games include visits to Duke, Louisville, SMU, Notre Dame, Boston College, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. The Cavaliers will also host Villanova in an exhibition game and face several non-conference opponents, highlighted by a December 20 home game against Maryland and neutral-site contests against Dayton and Ohio State. New head coach Ryan Odom will navigate a challenging slate that includes three sets of back-to-back road games and his first game against Wake Forest, where his father previously coached. The ACC tournament will take place March 10-14 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C.
