Two Women Die in Separate Motorcycle Crashes on Interstate 59, I-90

Alisa M. Lamay, a 47-year-old woman from Cottondale, Alabama, died after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Interstate 59, about four miles south of Tuscaloosa. The incident occurred on the evening of September 5 when the 2019 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide she was riding left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Lamay was airlifted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital but succumbed to her injuries. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division is currently investigating the cause of the crash. This tragic accident involved no other vehicles. Authorities have released limited additional information at this time.
