Scotts Valley Man Arrested in Decades-Old Child Sex Assault Case

The first victim, who was 11 years old in 1997, reported being sexually assaulted weekly by Pujals while living with him and his wife in Scotts Valley until 1998, when he was arrested for domestic violence. A second victim, identified during the investigation, alleged that she was also sexually assaulted by Pujals for about a year starting in 1988, but legal constraints prevent prosecution for those offenses.
