MCU Captain America 4 Releases Original Villain Concept Art

Marvel Studios’ Captain America 4, also known as Captain America: Brave New World, features Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America and Giancarlo Esposito as the villain Seth Voelker/Sidewinder. New concept art revealed by artist Michael Blackbear Uwandi shows an early design for Sidewinder and the Serpent Society featuring snakeskin-like nanotech masks, representing a 'first phase' transformation that was ultimately not used in the film. The original Serpent Society, adapted from Marvel Comics, was intended to include snake-themed characters portrayed by Seth Rollins and Rosa Salazar, who were cut to make room for other characters including Esposito's Sidewinder. The finalized film distanced itself from these snake-themed elements, with Sidewinder lacking the snake enhancements seen in the concept art. Captain America: Brave New World premiered in theaters in February 2025 and is now available for streaming on Disney+. Meanwhile, in Marvel Comics, Scarlet Witch recently confronted the Grim Reaper, revealing alternate heroic futures for the villain, highlighting his complex origins tied to his brother Wonder Man and his necromantic powers.
