Multiple Wolverhampton Teens Arrested After Wombourne Robberies
A series of robberies targeting people using the former railway line walking and cycling route in Wombourne, Staffordshire, led to the arrest of three teenagers. Between May 3 and May 13, two mobile phones and three bikes were stolen along the route near Bells Lane, Market Lane, and Wombourne areas. Two boys aged 14 and 15 from Wolverhampton were arrested on suspicion of robbery and later released on bail, along with a 16-year-old boy also from Wolverhampton who was arrested subsequently. Police recovered some of the stolen items and urged the public to provide information to assist ongoing investigations. Staffordshire Police emphasized their commitment to reducing such crimes, noting a decrease in burglaries, robberies, and thefts in the area compared to the previous year. Separately, two teenagers appeared in court charged with a robbery at a BMX track in Peterborough, with one remanded in custody and the other granted bail with conditions.
