Former MEP Lord Charles O'Hagan, Queen's godson, dies at 79
Lord Charles O'Hagan, the godson of Queen Elizabeth II, passed away at age 79 on March 23 after suffering a head injury that resulted in a subdural hematoma. He served as a Page of Honour to the Queen from 1959 to 1962 and had a notable political career as a Member of the European Parliament for Devon on two occasions. Born in 1945, O'Hagan was the 4th Baron O'Hagan and was educated at Eton and Oxford. He was married three times and had connections to significant British political families. His death comes more than two years after Queen Elizabeth II's passing, marking the end of an era for those associated with her royal legacy. An inquest confirmed the details of his passing at the North Devon District Hospital.
