Three Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Teens, Cars in Taunton

A three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle/scooter and two cars occurred at the intersection of Cohannet and Silver Streets in Taunton, resulting in three hospitalizations. The 16-year-old driver of the 2025 Zhongxing ZXGS-50E scooter was flown by MedFlight to a local trauma center, while his 15-year-old passenger and a 51-year-old female driver of a 2017 Toyota Camry were taken to Morton Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, an 81-year-old woman driving a 2018 Toyota RAV4, was not hospitalized. Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh confirmed the crash is under investigation with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team. The incident took place around 1 p.m. on a Thursday, and authorities have not released the identities of those involved. The investigation is ongoing as more details become available.
