Australian point guard Taran Armstrong has signed a two-year deal with Dubai Basketball, joining their roster as they compete in the EuroLeague and the ABA League. Armstrong, 23, comes from a recent two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors, where he primarily played for their G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging solid stats including 11.5 points and 8.2 assists per game. He previously had a strong two-season stint with the Cairns Taipans in Australia's NBL, where he averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. Dubai Basketball, which made its EuroLeague debut with a win over Partizan, includes former NBA players like Davis Bertans, Dwayne Bacon, and Justin Anderson and is looking to strengthen its roster amid injuries. Armstrong's contract includes an NBA exit clause for the 2026 offseason, keeping open the possibility for a return to the NBA. His signing makes him the only active Australian male player in the EuroLeague this season, marking a significant step in his international basketball career.
