Three Tren de Aragua Gang Members Arrested in SC
Three Venezuelan nationals, Alejandro J. Miranda Rodriguez, Yosveni Miched Parra Quinonez, and Edison Alejandro Ramiro Munoz, were arrested in Summerville, SC for shoplifting gun parts and ammunition worth approximately $299.42 from Palmetto State Armory. The suspects, who are allegedly members of the Venezuela-based Tren de Aragua gang, were found in possession of burglary tools and admitted to planning to sell the stolen items for narcotics. They wore long-sleeve clothing in warm weather to conceal gang tattoos. U.S. Homeland Security Investigations and ICE confirmed their gang affiliation, and a federal detainer has been placed on them pending further investigation. All three face charges of shoplifting, with Quinonez additionally charged for possession of burglary tools. The Tren de Aragua has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. government.
