Victor Wembanyama Selected as 2025 NBA All-Star Reserve

Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs has been named an NBA All-Star reserve for the first time in his career, becoming the youngest player in franchise history to achieve this honor. Selected by coaches, Wembanyama is among seven reserves from the Western Conference and is praised for his outstanding performance, averaging 24.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, and a league-leading 3.9 blocks per game. The All-Star Game will adopt a new format this year, featuring a mini-tournament structure with three teams of eight players each, plus a fourth team of Rising Stars participants. Wembanyama's impressive stats also position him as a contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award. He joins fellow first-time All-Stars Alperen Sengun and Jalen Williams in the Western Conference, while established stars like Anthony Davis and James Harden represent the veteran presence. The All-Star Weekend is set to take place in San Francisco from February 14-16, 2025.
