Chicago Woman Fatally Stabbed in Domestic Altercation

Mairunnisa B. Osman, 29, was fatally stabbed during a domestic altercation with Nurmuhammed Inus, 35, on Saturday night in Budlong Woods, a neighborhood in Chicago's Lincoln Square. The incident occurred around 11:24 p.m. at a residence in the 2700 block of West Balmoral Avenue, where police found Osman with a stab wound to her torso. She was transported to St. Francis Hospital and later pronounced dead. The suspect, Inus, fled the scene but has since been apprehended by police, and charges are pending. The altercation reportedly began as a verbal dispute between the two, who lived on the same block. The case remains under investigation by Chicago Police detectives.
