Baltimore Man Indicted for Assaulting Postal Worker with Knife

Jamie Paul Taylor, a 47-year-old Baltimore man, has been indicted for assaulting a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier with a knife during an incident on June 11, 2025. Taylor accused the postal worker of not being legitimate, went inside his house to retrieve a knife, and then attacked the carrier, causing injuries to the victim's finger and elbow as he tried to flee. Taylor also threw the knife at the postal worker before the victim and witnesses subdued him. The indictment was announced by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland alongside officials from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Baltimore Police Department.
