Maharashtra, Telangana Announce Massive Davos Investments

Maharashtra has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 15.7 lakh crore at the World Economic Forum in Davos, aiming to create 15.95 lakh jobs, with Reliance Industries and JSW Group among the largest contributors. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the state's high conversion rate of MoUs into actual investments, with 65-70% historically successful, compared to the national average of 40%. The investments span diverse sectors such as AI, data centers, green energy, and manufacturing, positioning Maharashtra as a leader in the emerging data center industry. Meanwhile, Telangana also made significant strides at Davos, securing MoUs worth Rs 1.79 lakh crore, focusing on data centers and green energy, aiming to create nearly 50,000 jobs. The strategic investments reflect both states' ambitions to harness new technologies and attract global players to bolster their economic growth.
