NDOT: I-15 and U.S. 395 Night Closures
The Nevada Department of Transportation is conducting two highway projects that will affect drivers this week: U.S. 395 in the North Valleys and the I-15 South Widening Project in the Las Vegas Valley. On U.S. 395, the southbound off-ramp to North McCarran/Clear Acre will close nightly 9 p.m.–5 a.m. from Nov. 3–8 with detours via Oddie Boulevard; the ramp will be realigned and returned to 24/7 operation afterward as crews widen and repave four miles through mid-2026, adding a southbound lane, merge lanes, five sound walls and landscaping. On I-15, nightly Nov. 2–7 from 8 p.m.–5 a.m. both directions will be reduced to two lanes between Sloan Road and Starr Avenue, with intermittent on- and off-ramp closures between Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Sloan Road for striping, signage and other work. The I-15 program also includes widening between Sloan–St. Rose Parkway and St. Rose Parkway–Blue Diamond, bridge resurfacing, ITS work and weigh-in-motion sensor replacements; the project began in January 2024 and targets completion in December. Motorists should expect shifted lanes, work-zone speed limits and possible detours, and are advised to use caution and check NDOT, nvroads/Waze or 511 for real-time updates as schedules may change.
